What Information Does GLOPACK project Website Collect?

Automatic Collection Of Information

If you do nothing during your visit to the site, but browse through the website or download information, our system will automatically gather and store certain information about your visit. This information does not identify you personally and is used in an aggregate way to help us improve our website and tell us the number of visitors to our site each day. Our web server automatically collects and records the following information:

• The location of the visitor (country and city)

• The operating system used;

• The address of the website that linked to us (referrer URL).

The collected infromation will be stored during the duration of NoAW, and will be deleted after the end of the project.

Permission-based Collection Of Information

Information may be collected as part of fulfilling information, registering for SP membership and registering for downloading materials. Depending on the area of the site you visit the types of personally identifiable information that we collect may include your name, e-mail address, your special interest in different topics and other information necessary to fulfil special requests. The collected infromation will be stored during the duration of GLOPACK, and will be deleted after the end of the project.

How Will The Information Be Used?

The information we gather automatically and with your permission during your visit to our website is used in the following ways:

• Monitor, review, measure and analyse website utilization;

• Modify and enhance the website;
